What is the Makerspace?

The Early Childhood Makerspace at the Early Learning Center was designed in partnership with local, state, and national leaders in design learning. The space contains tools and components that allow young children to become constructors and coders, in charge of their own learning.

Committed to inclusivity and accessibility

The hands-on learning, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility is one of a kind in the state. Some of the work we do in the Makerspace involves coding, robotics, whole class/field trip instruction, small group learning, individualized lessons, and teacher training.
