Rebecca Bowman, Ed.D.

"He who dares to teach, must never cease to learn." --Richard Henry Dann This has always been Dr. Bowman's perspective on her role as an educator and she seeks to share this will all students she encounters.

Dr. Bowman was born and raised in Newnan, Georgia and is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Early Childhood through Secondary Education and Reading at the University of West Georgia. She received her Doctorate from Liberty University in Teaching and Learning, her Masters from Capella University in Educational Leadership and Administration, and her Bachelors from Shorter College in Middle Grades Education. Dr. Bowman has 18 years of teaching experience in Elementary grades and Middle Grades math and science. She has serve for several years as a dissertation chair and has worked as subject matter expert developing courses in the area of social studies and research. 

Dr. Bowman's teaching and research interests include Gifted Education, STEM equity, and community-based learning projects. She currently is a part of the National Science Teachers Association, Georgia Association of Teacher Educators, and Georgia Association of Gifted Educators.
