ResSTAR - Students Together Assisting Residents
ResSTAR is a 24-hour service desk for residential students.
Whenever residential students need to contact hall duty staff for assistance, the ResSTAR desk can connect them with the right resource. You can call the ResSTAR desk at (678) 839-4718 or from any campus phone by dialing 9-4718. The ResSTAR receptionist will dispatch staff to assist you with issues such as lock outs, noise complaints and maintenance concerns.
For emergency situations requiring fire, police, or medical response, residential students should call University Police at (678) 839-6000 or dial 9-6000 from any campus phone.
Center Pointe Suites
Open since Fall 2012, Center Pointe Suites has been our destination for first-year students. It is located near the Z-6 Dining Hall and neighbors the Campus Center as well as both the Education and Biology buildings. Center Pointe also houses the Suites Market, one of our on campus convenience store. Like all UWG residence halls, Center Pointe offers card-control access, free extended basic cable, Ethernet, laundry rooms and other amenities.
The Oaks is a state-of-the-art residence hall conveniently located next to the East Commons Dining Hall, and across the street from off-campus dining and shopping. Opened in Fall 2013, this is a residence hall entirely for first- year students. Each floor comes equipped with a meeting/ multi- use room with a television and lounge chairs. it is also close to our Commons market, one of our on campus convenience stores.Learn More
Bowdon Hall is a traditional style residence hall built in the 1970s, then renovated and reopened in Fall 2013. Bowdon is conveniently located across from the East Commons Dining Hall, and across the street from off-campus dining and shopping.
The Greek Village at the University of West Georgia opened in Fall 2009 with chapter houses accommodating 18 NPC, IFC and NPHC sororities and fraternities. This community enhances Fraternity and Sorority Life at UWG by attracting potential members and providing a residential site for Fraternities and Sororities to flourish and expand.
Strozier Main is a traditional hall that will serve as temporary housing for the 2017-2018 academic year. It is our co-ed residence hall comprised of two buildings connected by a sheltered walkway. Just as the University Suites, Strozier is in a centralized location on campus. It neighbors the UCC and Education building.Learn more
Tyus Hall is our five floor co-educational residence hall for upperclassman, international students, and students with disabilities. The building is composed of suite style rooms which vary in style and size. Suites are styled as either: two bedroom/one bath, five bedroom/two bath and one bedroom/one bath. Depending on the available space, private rooms are available in Tyus Hall. Another unique feature of Tyus is that all suites exit onto an exterior walkway.
Gunn Hall is a co-ed residence hall, joined by a main lobby and a basement. The building
houses 180 students and is composed of two wings that are separated by male and female.
It is across from East Commons, The Oaks and Bowdon and is also accessible to off
campus dining and shopping.
Arbor View Apartments
Arbor View Apartments, our first apartment style living complex and are designated solely to upperclassmen, features both single and double occupancy rooms with the amenities of apartment style living on campus. Residents of Arbor View are neighbors to the Z-6 Dining Hall and can enjoy exercise on the outdoor track or opt for the indoor gym.
University Suites is located at the center of the UWG campus and neighbors the Z-6 Dining Hall, UCC, Education building, and Biology building. University Suites is also home to the Housing Academic Resource Center (HARC) which offers residential students free, drop-in tutoring for core classes.
