Information on Fall 2020 Operations

Housing is excited about your return to campus and preparing to provide you with a home away from home this fall! We will follow UWG Facilities & Grounds cleaning practices to ensure the most current health-safety practices in-place.  Also, to protect the health and safety of the community, we will begin the year with all Guest Visitation suspended. Only residents with an active contract for that specific building will be allowed to enter: all guests must remain in the main lobby and wait for the resident to exit the Residential Floors. This policy, in collaboration with the Residence Hall Association, will be reviewed every two weeks and adjusted accordingly. University System of Georgia policy requires everyone to wear a face-covering while inside University facilities, with the exception of residence hall rooms, and outdoors in locations where social distancing is not possible. Social distancing is requested to further assist us in keeping everyone safe.  If you experience any health-related symptoms, please contact Health Services immediately, they will guide HRL staff on proper measures to take to care for your health while living on campus.

ResSTAR - Students Together Assisting Residents

ResSTAR is a 24-hour service desk for residential students.

Whenever residential students need to contact hall duty staff for assistance, the ResSTAR desk can connect them with the right resource. You can call the ResSTAR desk at (678) 839-4718 or from any campus phone by dialing 9-4718. The ResSTAR receptionist will dispatch staff to assist you with issues such as lock outs, noise complaints and maintenance concerns.

For emergency situations requiring fire, police, or medical response, residential students should call 911.
