The Value of a Passport
A passport may not seem like part of an academic toolkit, but not having a passport – or not understanding the process of how to get one – hinders a student’s ability to access the important opportunity for academic growth that is study abroad. Learn more about how OEA is working to help.
The Office of Education Abroad is currently running a fund drive to provide passports for first-time international travelers. If you are interested in helping, click on the button below. Any amount is appreciated -- thank you for helping!

Welcome
The Office of Education Abroad serves as a resource for students interested in exploring how study abroad can fit into their degree programs and for faculty looking to increase their international engagement through international program and partnership development. OEA promotes activities and programs designed to increase intercultural understanding -- both on-campus and in the development of effective international partnerships -- and to facilitate access to opportunities for global engagement. OEA supports the university's mission, as articulated in its Strategic Plan, "to engage all student populations in high impact, experiential learning" by supporting the development of cost efficient and academically rich study abroad programs in all academic units of the institution. The office seeks to build strong partnerships with foreign academic institutions so as to provide greater opportunities for both students and faculty to participate in the process of internationalization. We strive to provide greater access to the benefits of education abroad through on-campus scholarships and counseling on financial aid and external scholarship opportunities. Finally, we develop and support programming that engages our campus and local communities in the understanding of cultural diversity and the exploration of global citizenship.
