Kyle Lorenzano is an Associate Professor and head of the Digital Media & Entertainment program in the School of Communication, Film, and Media at the University of West Georgia. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Communication from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University, as well as a B.S. in Communication Studies from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University.
His teaching interests focus primarily on emerging technology and mass media, having taught courses on digital content creation, multimedia storytelling, media industries/programming, social media marketing, and digital/social media analytics. His research interests mostly center on political communication and social change, with an emphasis on the relationship between new media and polarization. This research has been published in the Journal of Health Communication, Online Information Review, Communication and the Public, and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, in addition to being presented at top conferences in the discipline.
