What is an Instructional Designer?

An Instructional Designer is someone who uses educational research and innovative instructional practices to help instructors enhance student engagement, satisfaction and learning outcomes. They help instructors design instructional materials and courses that will leverage technology in order to implement pedagogy and andragogy effectively. They can also instructors when they run into technical or instructional challenges.

Our instructional designers offer complete course design services. We’ll guide you through the process from start to finish using systematic design processes. We can also help redesign an existing course to incorporate student feedback or update content to reflect trends in the field.

Course Improvement  

Our instructional designers offer course review and design services to ensure alignment of learning objectives, instructional material and assessments. We collaborate closely with faculty to assess current course structures, identify areas for improvement, and develop engaging instructional materials tailored to your students' needs.

Course Review (Peer Review) 

Our instructional designers can facilitate peer review processes and consultation on achieving institutional outcomes and standards. We provide detailed feedback on course content, pedagogical strategies, and assessment methods from the perspective of your learner needs and performance gaps.
