Biometric Screenings
Blood pressure measures the pressure in your arteries as the heart pumps. Blood pressure is measured at routine health checkups or may be scheduled independently to screen for high blood pressure (hypertension).
Cost: FREE
Screening for elevated fasting blood glucose and cholesterol can help identify pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and those at a higher risk for developing early cardiovascular disease.

Bioelectrical Impedence Analysis measures body composition of body fat and muscle mass using a weak electrical current that flows through the body in order to calculate resistance.

Skinfold measurement is a quick and simple method used to estimate body fat. This measurement uses calipers to pinch the skin in three locations on the body.

The A1C test gives your average blood sugar level over the past 3 months. A1C testing is a blood test
used to diagnose prediabetes and diabetes. It's also useful for managing diabetes.

Safety Training Courses
Designed for: anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED used to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Teaches: why high–quality CPR improves survival, explains the concepts of the chain of survival, how to recognize when someone needs CPR, how to give optional effective breathes by mouth–to–mouth or with a barrier device, demonstrates how to use an AED, how to preform high quality chest compressions, and choking relief.
Cost: $70
Designed for: anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
Teaches: first aid basics, how to respond to medical, injury, and environmental emergencies, along with how to prevent illness and injury. Topics covered, using a tourniquet, shock, internal bleeding, burns and electrical injuries, allergic reactions, breathing problems & dehydration, diabetes & low blood sugar, heat and cold-related emergencies, drowning, amputations, bites and stings, broken bones, and sprains. Also covers splinters, nose bleeds, fainting, seizures, and injuries to the head, eyes, neck, spine, mouth, and teeth.

Designed for: anyone involved in childcare who has a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives, Including childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc.
Teaches: CPR AED and choking: CPR and AED Use for Adults*, Children and Infants, Adult*, Child, and Infant Choking. The course also covers first aid basics including medical, injury, poison, and environmental emergencies, preventing illnesses and injuries and controlling bleeding & bandaging. Covers topics like using a tourniquet, shock, internal bleeding, burns and electrical injuries, allergic reactions, breathing problems & dehydration, diabetes & low blood sugar, heat-and cold-related emergencies, drowning, amputations, bites and stings, broken bones and sprains. Designed for: healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Assault, Defense, & Preparedness Training (ADAPT), walks participants through assault prevention, situational awareness, and defensive tactics. This course is taught in partnership with the UWG Police Department.

Citizens' Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE), teaches participants how to respond, behave, and defend yourself in an active shooter, workplace violence, robbery, or hostage situation. CRASE training is taught in partnership with the UWG Police Department and provides participants with a safety action plan applicable in most violent situations.

Mental Wellness Training Courses
Mental Health First Aid teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. Course topics include common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, how to interact with a person in crisis, how to connect a person with professional help, and expanded content on trauma, substance use, and self-care.
In-person face-to-face certification courses are one full day or eight hours in length. Typical class time is 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Cost: $80
In-Person Blended Certification Courses cover the same course material, but additional online pre-work is required to complete before the in-person class. In-person blended certification courses are five hours in length. Typical class time is 9:00am - 3:00pm.

QPR is a suicide prevention training program that teaches participants to recognize the warning signs of suicide and question, persuade, and refer people at risk for suicide for help.
