Declare or Change your Major

Students who wish to declare or change their major should locate the proper procedure for doing so on this page. Each college and department coordinates major changes differently; this page is designed to bring all of those processes in one place. Prior to submitting a request to change their major, students should consult their academic advisor for assistance.

Declare or Change your Minor

Students who wish to declare or change their minor should consult with their academic advisor regarding requirements for a minor. After consulting with their advisor, students may request to declare or change their minor completing the minor change/declaration form.

Students who want to pursue a minor in Music must successfully audition before officially declaring a minor in music.

Changes in Wolf Watch (Degree Works)

After your major declaration information is sent to the Registrar's Office, your Wolf Watch (degree audit) will update to reflect your changes within 24-48 hours (during business days). To see how your requested changes will affect your degree progression, you may choose to complete a What-If Analysis in Wolf Watch.

Declaring Certificates

Students who wish to pursue an embedded or stand-alone certificate alongside their degree should complete the appropriate certificate declaration form located on the certificate information page. Embedded certificates are not tracked in Wolf Watch. Students should consult their academic advisor or the academic department offering the certificate for more information.

Tanner Health System School of Nursing

Students intending to pursue Nursing should complete the Nursing Major Change form and meet with a Nursing advisor. Until students are formally admitted into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, they will be listed as "Focus Area - Health Professions" or "Undecided Health - Nursing Interest."
