The pharmacy at UWG is committed to partnering with you to improve your health and well-being and see you succeed and finish strong at UWG. A pharmacist is available during normal business hours to answer any questions you may have about your medicine.

Our Staff

Knowledgeable and caring pharmacists are on staff to provide quality and accurate dispensing services and patient education. Our pharmacists are all actively licensed and registered to practice pharmacy in the state of Georgia. The pharmacy is managed by Jennifer Daniel, RPh., Pharm. D., Mental Health First Aid Trained

The pharmacy is located inside the Student Health Center. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is closed from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. for lunch. Our phone number is (678) 839-0648.

Not at this time. Our prescription copays have been set at a discounted rate for students, faculty and staff. Prices are subject to change based on the manufacturer.

Most prescriptions are eligible for transfer. If you wish to refill your prescriptions at Health Services Pharmacy that were originally filled at your hometown pharmacy, we are happy to transfer them here for you. Just give us a call and ask to have them transferred to us!

Depending on the medication, we may be able to do an early refill with approval or supply enough medicine for while you are away. We can also have your medication(s) transferred out to your chosen pharmacy. Your chosen pharmacy will need to call us requesting the transfer. Our phone is number is (678) 839-0678.

Any student that has paid the health fee for the semester, faculty, and staff can utilize the pharmacy.

All of the medications have a discounted rate. The majority of prescriptions are offered at $5.00 and can increase in price depending on the medication. Charges for prescription and Low Cost Over-the-Counter medications/items can be transferred to the student’s account. Students can call the pharmacy at  (678) 839-0678 to get the cost of a certain medication(s).

Yes. Most oral contraceptives are $10.00 per month. You may purchase up to 6 packs of birth control at a time.

Yes. The injection is $55.00 and can be administered by one of our nurses in Health Services with an appointment. There is no cost for the administration of the injection.

Yes. We offer Plan B One-Step (Levonorgestrel) without a prescription and Ella by prescription only. A Confidential Counsel Room is available to preserve confidentiality.

No. We can service your needs for over-the-counter medications anytime during our business hours.

We offer multivitamins both with iron and without as well as a digestive support probiotics to keep you feeling ready to tackle the semester.

We carry all immunizations required by Admissions. We also provide the flu vaccine. Travel vaccines can be made available and requires payment at time of booking appointment. Vaccines can be administered here by our nurses at Health Services by appointment.

We can take a refill request over the phone or when you come into the pharmacy. If you want to request a refill over the phone, please call (678) 839-0678.

We do our best to be efficient. Our average wait time is 5-10 minutes.

We do have a limited formulary, so stop in or give us a call at  (678) 839-0678 to see if we stock your medication. You will need to provide the name and strength of the medication you are inquiring about.

You would need to pay the health fee for the semester. Once the fee has been paid, we will be glad to take care of you.

Yes. If we carry the medication listed then we will be glad to fill your prescription. We must have the hard copy of the prescription or have the provider call in the medication to (678) 839-0678. At this time we do not accept electronic prescriptions or faxes.
