All students will be evaluated each semester to determine that they are making satisfactory pace of progression through their academic program.

A minimum 67% cumulative completion ratio will be required at each evaluation period. Pace of progression is defined as the ratio of the cumulative number of credit hours completed divided by the cumulative number of credit hours attempted. • Note: The numbers seen on your Banweb account will not reflect your current hours of enrollment for the current semester. • For issues or clarification, please email finaid@westga.edu

Steps (UWG Faculty/Staff):

Note: If the student has ever taken learning support coursework (courses beginning in "00", ex. 0098), please do not use this calculator. Stop and email finaid@westga.edu for further assistance.

Note: SHATERM does not include the student's current enrolled hours. You will need to add the student's current enrolled hours to the applicable field on the calculator for both UWG Institutional Attempted and UWG Institutional Earned. See "Wolfie" example below.

Example:

Wolfie has 67 UWG Institutional Attempted Hours, 64 UWG Institutional Earned Hours, and 0 Transfer Earned Hours. Wolfie is also enrolled in 15 credit hours for spring semester, but thinks he will only complete 12 of those credit hours. To determine what Wolfie's Pace of Progression will be after the spring semester, add 67+15 (that number will be his UWG Institutional Attempted Hours). Also, add 64+12 (that number will be his UWG Institutional Earned Hours). Input the totals for both sets of numbers on the calculator and input the 0 for transfer earned to obtain Wolfie's Pace of Progression.

Hint: It's 92.68%
