New Hire Students
Every New Hire Student must complete their Mandatory Compliance Training in DevelopWest. In order for a student to be considered a New Hire they will have been hired for their very first position on-campus from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. If they were hired in the year of 2020 they should see a course labeled New Hire 2020 Student Employees assigned to them in DevelopWest. They can access all 7 sections of their Mandatory Compliance Training through the New Hire 2020 Student Employees course. All 7 trainings must be completed within the first 30 days of the students beginning work.
Compliance Training Topics:
- Vehicle-Cart Risk & Safety - those students who work in a department that require them to operate a campus vehicle will need to have a Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR) processed via Human Resources. For further information please refer to policy 2.3 State Motor Vehicle Records Check.
- UWG Clery Act
- Risk Management
- Right to Know (GHS)
- Sexual Misconduct
- Ethics (*students will need to score an 80 or higher on this portion in order to pass)
- Cybersecurity Awareness
*Those with managerial access in DevelopWest will be able to pull reports of their student assistants and their progress in DevelopWest.
Refresher Compliance Training
Any student who has worked on-campus before (therefore has already completed the New Hire Mandatory Compliance Training) will be required to complete their Refresher Training every year in October. When the Refresher Training becomes available, students will have a course labeled Refresher Student Employee Training assigned to them in DevelopWest. They can access the necessary trainings through this course. Students must complete all 6 trainings within two weeks of the Refresher Training opening.
