About UWG Students

The University of West Georgia is proud to have some of the state's most vibrant, intelligent and promising students. Everywhere you look, UWG students and alumni are blazing trails to new possibilities for scholarly achievement, creative expression, and service to humanity.

UWG students are performing biomedical research, outranking private university debate teams, studying trees to evaluate historical sites, and submitting winning t-shirt designs for the Peachtree Road Race. They are studying overseas, developing local outreach programs, and building robots. Our alumni are newscasters, authors, international business leaders and teachers of the year. They’re Hollywood makeup artists, entrepreneurs, critical care nurses, and everything in between.

Degrees Offered:

Through our team of department liaisons, we can help connect your business with UWG’s six schools and colleges: Arts & Humanities, Business, Education, Nursing, Science & Math, and Social Sciences. UWG offers 97 major opportunities in a wide range of disciplines and we have programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level. We also offer post-graduate certificates and specialist degrees. Let us help you find your next superstar employee by promoting your position within a complimentary academic program.

Student Organizations:

Career Services can work as a bridge to student groups, which can be beneficial to employers who are seeking to hire students with interest-specific and organizational management experience. The University of West Georgia hosts more than 160 student organizations covering academics, cultural/international, departmental/educational, professional and honor groups, politics, science, religion, service, recreation and sports, and social fraternities and sororities.

International Students & Programs:

The University of West Georgia is proud of its strong international presence. We foster a vibrant mix of perspectives and backgrounds on campus and collaborate with the Center for Student Involvement and Inclusion to strengthen and enhance the understanding of various cultures among students and employees. We also work with International Student Admissions and Programs to help international students (representing 73 different countries) who have secured authorization for employment to find partner employers.
