Katylyn Kuchta is a Lecturer of English at the University of West Georgia. She comes to UWG with 12 years of experience teaching English in public schools. Originally from Ohio, she specializes in composition pedagogy, writing instruction, and supporting learners through accessible, culturally responsive teaching. She has extensive experience working with diverse, multicultural populations and is committed to helping students build confidence as they develop strong academic, critical thinking, and writing skills. 

Kuchta earned her B.A. in English from Baldwin Wallace University (Berea, Ohio) and her M.A. in English with an Emphasis in Adult Education from Grand Canyon University. She is a self-published author and freelance editor. Outside the classroom, she enjoys nature, traveling, and creative learning across many mediums.
