Noah Cochran began his academic journey at Gordon State Community College before transferring to Georgia Southwestern State University, where he earned his B.A. in psychology in 2012. After graduation, he worked at the Perry Wellness Center, a mental health service in Americus, Georgia. He later pursued graduate studies and relocated to Carrollton, Georgia, where he earned both his M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of West Georgia. 

Dr. Cochran’s research interests lie at the intersection of academia and popular culture, with a focus on language, speech activities, and their role in shaping the dynamic relationships between individuals and culture. His current research explores how ideologies influence decision-making, the role of popular culture in constructing meaning and identity, and dialogical and dynamic notions of “self.”
