Alex Claussen is an Assistant Professor of French and German. His research and teaching interests include representations of music in literature, literary censorship, narratology and adaptation theory, fairy tales, and Francophone Oceanian literature.
He holds a BA in History, German, and Global Studies, an MA in German, and a PhD in French, all from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of West Georgia, he taught French, German, and interdisciplinary courses at UNL and English courses at the Université Gustave Eiffel in Paris, France.
