CJ Ivory

CJ Ivory is an Associate Professor and Interim Dean of Libraries at the University of West Georgia. She has been a part of the University since 2017 where she teaches Information Literacy & Research and serves as library liaison to Richards College of Business. With expertise in open education resources and textbook alternatives, she serves as a campus liaison for Affordable Learning Georgia, a statewide initiative. Professor Ivory recently published a book with ACRL Press titled, "Using Open Educational Resources to Promote Social Justice."

Additionally, she teaches courses helping librarians develop their diversity and inclusion skills through Library Juice Academy, a company offering professional development training for librarians. She has been invited to speak on these topics in academic libraries, state library organizations, and the library journal. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Library & Information Science from Florida State University. Her research interests include information literacy instruction, social justice education, and open pedagogy. Professor Ivory's commitment to providing accessible and equitable educational resources aligns with her passion for promoting social justice.
