Pam Murphy, M.A.

Pam Murphy walked as an M.F.A. candidate at the Sewanee School of Letters in July, 2025, and her creative thesis Junction, a novel manuscript, is scheduled for defense later this year. Her fiction and nonfiction focus on small-town southern life, its nuances, and the cultural pressure girls and women face in these contexts. Her scholarly research uses food studies as a platform for critiques of cultural, gender, and spatial politics.
