Craig Schroer has been at the University of West Georgia since 2011 serving as Systems Librarian. Prior to that he was a Latin American Area Studies Librarian at the University of Texas at Austin for twenty years. His educational background includes a BA in Music Education, an MA in Music Performance, and an MS in Library and Information Science. He is a member of the American Library Association (ALA) and the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM) with primary research interests in News Media Literacy, Cultural Literacy, Critical Thinking, and Rhetoric.
