Susan Hall Webb, Ph.D.

Susan Hall Webb, Ph.D. is a professor, consultant, researcher, and subject-matter expert based in Atlanta, Georgia (USA).  She has 30 years of experience educating and training professionals in corporate environments, as well as instructing both undergraduate and graduate students at the university level.  Dr. Webb’s areas of expertise include strategic business communication, curriculum and assessment development, sustainability communication, social media curation, as well as specializing in business and leadership communication skills related to:

Dr. Webb has extensive business, academic, training, and writing experience.  She is a professor at the University of West Georgia in Richards College of Business in the Marketing Department.  In addition to teaching, she is an active researcher; her research agenda includes focusing on incorporating technology in the classroom, social media in small businesses, sustainability communication, best practices in business communication, and enhancing student belonging and engagement. 

Dr. Webb is also a dynamic speaker, presenter, and trainer, and has created and delivered dozens of seminars and workshops across a range of disciplines, including communication, leadership, curriculum development, and assessment planning.   She has a consulting company called iCommunication Consulting Group, LLC., which allows her the opportunity to further her expertise and research from the classroom to the workplace specializing in the areas of business communication listed above.

Further, Dr. Webb is past president of the Business Teachers Association of New York State (24 members on the executive board/500+ membership) where she was able to develop and facilitate a viable strategic plan, which increased organization membership, legislative advocacy, and professional development in the discipline.  She was also elected the Director of Communication (2016-2018) for the Association for Research in Business Education (ARBE). Prior to her tenure at University of West Georgia, she taught at Buffalo State College (2001-2008), Hamburg High School (1996-2001), and Williamsville Central Schools (1995-1996).  Her industry experience includes working for retail grocery chain, Tops Friendly Markets, as a Trainer/Coordinator of Demonstrations and Special Events (1992-1995) and working in the non-profit sector at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo as an Assistant Director of Development (1989-1992).  Through these experiences, Dr. Webb has been able to hone in on her strengths and share her wisdom and knowledge to assist in professional development specializing in business communication skills at all levels.

Susan Hall Webb has a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from University of Buffalo, M.S.Ed. in Educational Computing from State University College at Buffalo, and a B.S. (plus permanent teaching certification in New York State) from the State University College at Buffalo.
