Shelley Rogers

Shelley L. Rogers is the senior cataloger and a full professor at Irvine Sullivan Ingram Library of the University of West Georgia, where she has been employed since 2008.  Her responsibilities emphasize original and complex copy cataloging of monographs and special formats and NACO participation.  She serves as the library’s liaison to the music programs.  She holds a B.A. in music from Kent State University, an M.I.L.S. in music librarianship from The University of Michigan, and an M.Ed. in cultural foundations from Kent State University.  Shelley has worked primarily in technical services (cataloging and authority control) in both public and academic libraries in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Minnesota, and Georgia for over 35 years.  She is an active member of the Georgia Library Association and the Southeast Chapter of the Music Library Association.  Her research interests include current and historical topics in music librarianship and practical applications of cataloging and metadata management.
