Jean Cook has been a librarian at the University of West Georgia since 2007. Prior to starting at UWG, she worked for Cobb County Public Library System as well as Southern Polytechnic State University and the University of Alabama libraries. She has degrees in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Library and Information Studies. As a member of the Learning And Research Services team, she helps to ensure that UWG faculty, staff, and students have access to adequate and appropriate materials and services for their programs as well as provides timely instruction and reference help as appropriate. She admins the library's reference services like email and chat as well as asynchronous services like the research guides and website. Jean Cook is the primary library liaison to the College of Education, Department of Natural Sciences, Department of Computing and Math, and Tanner Health System School of Nursing. Her research interests include effective library support for STEM programs and library instruction and reference in general.
