Julia Farmer is the Director of Ombuds Services and serves all staff, faculty, and students as the University Ombudsperson. Prior to coming to this role, she was Faculty Ombuds and Professor of Spanish. She completed her M.S. in Conflict Management at Kennesaw State University and her PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures at UC-Berkeley. Her interest in conflict management grew out of her work as chair of Faculty Senate, where she enjoyed working to facilitate agreements and promote collaboration across campus.
