Orientation marks the beginning of the semester for the new students. It is important because it is designed to help you settle into the university and provide information to fully prepare you for the start of your classes. During Orientation you will meet many new faces and learn about different organizations you would want to get into, and also talk with your advisors in your area of study so you can be prepared for the semester.

Email orientation@westga.edu or call our office at (678) 839-5600. We will work with you to determine and resolve the problem!

Orientation is required for incoming undergraduate students. If you cannot attend any available sessions, call us at (678) 839-5600 so we can answer any of your concerns.

At Orientation you will learn about the campus, your area of study, what courses you will be taking, and the different organizations you can join on campus.

Once your reservation is made, there will be no out-of-pocket, programmatic expenses when you're on site. You may still bring money for any souvenirs or UWG swag. The UWG Bookstore will be open!

  • Current government issued photo ID - U.S. Drivers's License, State-Issued ID Card, Passport, or U.W. Military ID to get your Wolves Card
  • Casual-comfortable clothing and walking shoes.
  • Money for snacks & souvenirs
  • Rain Jacket and/or umbrella
  • Any outstanding paperwork needed to be turned in.
