Registered Student Organizations
Registration is an annual process. Registration as a student organization at the University of West Georgia is a privilege and not a right, and entails responsibilities on the part of the student organization, advisor, and its members. Registration signifies a willingness on the part of the student organization to comply with state law and the rules, regulations, and policies of the University and the Board of Regents.
Any student organization interested in becoming a Registered Student Organization (RSO) must meet the following requirements in order to initially register or renew its registration as an RSO and to maintain its status as an RSO:
- Have at least five (5) UWG students (i.e., part-time and/or full-time) join together for a common purpose
- At least two members must be officers - the student organization must have a president and treasurer
- Advisor contact information (Must be a full-time UWG professional employee) Graduate Assistants or Student Employees are not eligible
- Updated organization constitution titled, "[Organization Name] Constitution 2023-2024"
