Interim Faculty Ombuds
Julia Farmer is Professor of Spanish and Interim Faculty Ombuds. Her primary research interests are in the area of Renaissance and baroque Spanish and Italian literature. She has taught Spanish language courses at all levels, as well as courses on medieval and Golden Age Spanish literature and Special Topics courses on Don Juan, Don Quixote, and Gender and the Spanish Novella Tradition. Her articles have appeared in journals such as MLN, Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, Cervantes, Women's Studies, and Revista de Estudios Hispanicos. Her book, Imperial Tapestries: Narrative Form and the Question of Spanish Habsburg Power, 1530-1647, was published by Bucknell University Press.
