BEA Collegiate Media Chapters, formerly NEMA/NBS-AERho, assist and guide students by providing networking opportunities and promoting collaborative projects and discussions.
BEA Collegiate Media Chapters are FREE for all current Institutional Members
BENEFITS:
- Opportunity to learn or strengthen media skills through hands-on workshops from various SCFM instructors and staff members
- Chances to attend local tours of diverse media operations in radio, television, film, print, public relations, and other media platforms
- Ability to learn various e-portfolio models of distinct media platforms in order to be prepared for employment opportunities in the media industry
- Priority acceptance to the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) Student Scholars Program
- Assistance in connecting with industry professionals
- Orientation at BEA’s annual convention – including special sessions & events
- Two “48-Hour” competitions held each year – A film competition each fall and an audio short doc competition each spring
- Bi-annual newsletters that include internships, scholarships, media jobs, career fairs, grad school programs
