The Digital Entertainment, Esports, and Game Development Nexus will give students a broad understanding of the digital entertainment aspects of competitive Esports events and game development. 
The Nexus degree will allow students to gain an Associate’s Degree and a valuable Georgia Film Academy (GFA) Certification in an effort to be equipped and employable after just two years of course work, and all credit hours can be applied to multiple Bachelor’s degrees at UWG.
The three, six-credit hour courses (GFA 1500, GFA 3510, and GFA 3520) in digital entertainment, Esports, and game development provide students with high-impact experiences through the partnership with GFA, and industry partners (Skillshot Media).

Provides students with career development opportunities through networking and experiential learning in professional working film and television environments in Development, Production and/or Post-Production, under the personal advisement of industry experts. The course is offered in cooperation with IATSE 479 and major film and television production companies like Disney, Netflix, HBO, and others.
