Physical & Environmental Expectations
Physical expectations are that students can climb stairs and do reasonable amounts of walking. Rome requires about a 6-mile walk. Daily walking in Spoleto is much less, but since it's on the side of a hill, it requires elevation gains. All apartments require some stairs (1-3 floors). Cold is not a problem. There is no A/C in the city, pretty much, so heat in July can be an issue. All apartments have fans, though, and there are ways to mitigate it. This also creates wonderful mornings and evenings, when festival events occur outside.
