Overview
Program Overview:
Students are not limited to the Study Abroad opportunities offered only at UWG. Have you found an opportunity offered at another university, through an Education Abroad provider? Or do you want to complete an Exchange at a foreign university that UWG isn't directly partnered with?
We are happy to support you through that process!
How Study Abroad Scholarships Work:
Scholarships: Awarded study abroad scholarships are credited directly to your UWG financial aid package. Once any existing UWG student account balances are cleared, remaining scholarship funds are disbursed to your linked BankMobile account. From there, you can use those funds to pay for program costs, plane tickets, or other expenses.
The Office of Education Abroad: goabroad@westga.edu
Students accepted into the program who anticipate the need for accommodations are encouraged to contact the abroad university's International Office as early as possible to discuss potential accommodations and accessibility needs prior to departure.
