This course will prepare the registered nurse to explore contemporary issues and future trends that have a direct impact on professional nursing practice in today’s complex healthcare environment. Emphasis is placed on quality caring relationships, ethical and legal issues, workplace environment, safety, public policy, accountability, communication, cultural competence, quality measures, and shaping the future of professional nursing practice.
