Call for Applications:
Deadline - 1 December 2019
The College of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the COAH Dean’s Traveler’s Award, which will cover the entire program costs for one student in one of the College’s study- abroad/study-away programs in 2020. Applications will be due by 1 December 2019 to COAHabroad@westga.edu; applications will be reviewed by the COAH Study Abroad Committee and the Dean. Applicants must carry at least a 3.0 GPA (for freshmen, progress will be indicated by their current professors) and be a recipient of a Pell grant at the time of application.
The application packet will consist additionally of the following:
- A 250-word essay describing the applicant’s reasons for studying abroad and how the scholarship will support his/her academic progress and make the experience financially possible.
- 1 letter of recommendation from a UWG faculty member.
- Freshmen and recent transfer students should supply a transcript from high school
or previous institution to Arielle Vaughan in the COAH Dean’s office. These may be
