Library Administration and Management

In administering a unit of the library, special collections, I've supervised faculty, staff, and graduate students, managed state and foundation funds, raised funds, built research collections, taught, and aligned the work of our unit with the university's and the library's strategic goals. In 2014 I participated in the Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians at Harvard Graduate School of Education and in 2016 I was selected for the Senior Fellows program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Graduate School of Education & Information Studies. In whatever capacity I work in as a librarian, I am committed to being a trustworthy public servant and to being an open, learning, hard-working, transparent, and caring colleague. It is a combination of values, skills, and personal qualities that are the foundation of making a great leader. It is leadership that sets the tone and the stage for creating and sustaining a meaningful, impactful, and exciting learning environment for students.
