The Human Resources Department is a comprehensive human resources and payroll operation, providing Benefits Administration, Staff Recruitment, Training, Workers Compensation and Payroll Administration services to the West Georgia campus community. Our customers include the Faculty, Staff and Students of West Georgia as well as West Georgia’s retirees. With a staff dedicated to maintaining the integrity of West Georgia’s mission, policies and procedures, we provide quality customer service through personal attention to individual needs.
The Office of Human Resources is constantly striving to improve processes and procedures. We strive to provide individual attention to the personal needs of our campus community.
This year we will be taking part in the conversion of our PeopleSoft payroll system to the ADP system and the shared services concept. The goal is to educate the campus community on the requirements of the ADP system and have a successful implementation.
We are also in the beginning implementation phase of PeopleAdmin, an electronic applicant tracking system. This system will require applicants to apply electronically for employment and manage their own account within PeopleAdmin. Managers will be able to post positions as well as access the applicant pool for their open position electronically.
Goal number four involves rewriting our Employee Handbook and Guide to Human Resources,
and having these documents available on-line as well as individual policies.
Human Resources is located on the third floor of Aycock Hall on Aycock Drive.
