Melanie McClellan has more than 30 years of experience in higher education. After retiring as UWG's Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management in 2011, she returned to UWG to lead the College Student Affairs graduate program for two years, and then moved into the position of Director of Community Engagement. Currently, Melanie is serving as Director of the Carrollton-Carroll County Education Collaborative. Melanie's previous positions included Associate Vice President and Interim Vice President for Student Affairs at Georgia Southern University, Director of Housing & Residence Life at Mississippi State University, and Career Counselor for Faculty & Staff at The Ohio State University. She served as an adjunct faculty member at Mississippi State, Georgia Southern, and West Georgia, and was on the Executive Boards of the Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA), the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO), and Assistant for the Association of College & University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I).
