Logan Frey

In the fall of 2020, UWG Athletics turned to a familiar face to coach the Wolves in Strength and Conditioning, as Logan Frey returned to Carrollton after a four-year hiatus.

Frey was originally at UWG as a graduate assistant from January of 2015 until May of 2017, working specifically with volleyball, women's basketball, women's tennis, and women's soccer in his time in Carrollton. After his time in Carrollton, Frey moved to College Station, Texas, to take a position as an assistant with Texas A&M University. After a year in College Station, Frey moved to Alpine, Texas to be the head strength and conditioning coach for Sul Ross state University. He spent two years in that role before returning to Carrollton in August of 2020.

Since returning to UWG, Frey has worked with all aspects of programming for the UWG Strength and Conditioning program while focusing on baseball, softball, men's basketball, and football. In the spring of 2021, Frey worked with the men's basketball program that reached the round of 32 as a region semifinalist, then worked with football as the Wolves returned to the playoffs with a 9-3 record.

Originally from Tomball, Texas, Frey played college football at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor while gaining his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sports Science. He graduated from Georgia Southern with a Masters of Kinesiology in July of 2017. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and holds a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Certification.
