LeQuinta (Taylor) Bryant

Taylor Bryant, associate professor (clinical track) for SCFM, is passionate about training and educating current and future communicators. With more than ten years of industry experience, she embraces the changes that come with being an innovative leader in communications. 

From radio to public relations, Taylor continues to prove that effective communication is her greatest strength. The Decatur, Georgia native started her professional radio career in Montgomery, Alabama. There, she applied her passion for change through effective public relations strategy and citywide community events. A jack-of-all-trades, she later increased her fan base with her tag line “Buckle Up and Be Safe” when working on-air. Her experiences and unique approach to communications has gained her multiple recognitions in the field. She has more than five statewide radio awards and was most recently named one of PRSA Georgia's 40 Under 40 Top Communicators. 
 
Taylor is proficient in various facets of the communication domain, including public speaking, consulting, strategic planning, interviewing, and written communication. She has had the privilege of engaging in interviews with an illustrious array of entertainment luminaries, including Steve Harvey, Usher, Tom Joyner, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Maxwell, and Morris Chestnut, among others. Taylor has also been the chosen host for an array of high-profile events, ranging from fashion shows and step-shows to red carpet galas, conferences, workshops, and panel discussions.

Following a successful career in radio, Taylor quickly worked her way up as a public relations professional. She's managed award-winning campaigns and implemented effective internal and external strategy at various levels. At the director level, Taylor managed all communication and media relations for more than 38,000 students and 14,000 employees at one of the largest SEC institutions.

Today, she continues to work as a passionate professor and media and communications expert in higher education. She is most passionate about preparing and motivating students for successful careers in the field by challenging them to identify innovative ways to serve as change agents in the field.

Taylor's skills with public relations span the basic principles and theories of the field applied in a practical sense. Her experience includes managing internal and external public relations experience for more than 36,000 students and 14,000 faculty and staff.

Social and Digital Media

Taylor's experience with social media includes content management and creation, campaigns, personal branding, and leading teams to create effective policy and procedure around social media.
