Cody Mason, Ph.D.

Dr. Cody Mason teaches introductory geology classes and upper division sedimentary geology courses for program majors.

His research interests include mountains, rivers, deserts, and oceans. More specifically, he looks at the sedimentary record of past tectonics, evidence of past terrestrial and marine environments, and effects of changing climate and/or anthropogenic influences on sediment routing system functioning across timescales.

Dr. Mason has active research projects suitable for undergraduate research or independent study. Please contact him if you are interested in undergraduate research opportunities at UWG.
