Why did you join SSBHP? The program offered me a rare opportunity to connect closely with UWG faculty, Southwire employees, and fellow business students who share similar interests and goals, whereas larger schools may not provide the same connections and communication.

What does sustainability mean to you? To me, sustainability refers to actions that result in long-term success. Future generations can perform the action without possessing diminished value from the current generation's performance of the action.

What are your ambitions for the future? How will SSBHP help you achieve your goals? I plan on becoming a financial planner/advisor after graduating with my MBA. This program has helped me to get out of my comfort zone by allowing me to embrace new opportunities and be open-minded.

Why did you join SSBHP? When I received the initial email inviting me to join the program, I believed it was too good to be true. Honestly, I thought it was a spam email, because I did not know that The University of West Georgia had such a wonderful program. After researching the program (and discovering that it was not in fact a scam), I met with Melanie to discuss the opportunities available within this program. I was immediately blown away by the amount of knowledge and experience I would be able to gain. I am so thankful for this opportunity to learn and grow. Joining this program has been the best decision I have made.

Why did you join SSBHP? I joined the Southwire Sustainable Business Honors program because of the real-world experience that this program offers to college students. We receive benefits inside of the classroom because of the accelerated coursework and moving into the MBA program; however, we also gain a competitive edge among other future job applicants. Our hands-on project management experience, working with company employees, and job experience will allow us to know what the work environment should look like and how we should handle real-world work situations more effectively in the future.

What are your ambitions for the future? How will SSBHP help you achieve your goals? Once I graduate college, I hope to obtain a job as either an accountant or a finance manager. Eventually, I would like to start my own small business for which I could manage the finances. I believe SSBHP will help me accomplish this by allowing me to gain experience and expertise about the business world.

What are your ambitions for the future? How will SSBHP help you achieve your goals? In the future, I would like to attend law school and practice corporate law. SSBHP will help me achieve my goals by giving me a chance to learn my strengths and weaknesses when working in a group setting while simultaneously gaining business experience to help me be successful in any and all future positions.

The Southwire Sustainable Business Honors Program is helping me attain my future goals by showing me what it looks like to work for a truly ethical company. In the program, I get to work alongside the employees of Southwire, who truly love their career.

Why did you join SSBHP? Why did you join SSBHP? Because of the opportunity to receive my bachelor's and master's degrees in only four years.
