The University of West Georgia's Richards College of Business was endowed with a gift from the Richards family to support continued excellence in education. This support has been instrumental in our ability to provide students with an educational setting where positive learning experiences prepare them for future positions of responsibility and leadership in business and society. I am proud to be able to give you an overview of the Richards College programs, faculty, and students.
The Richards College of Business programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels maintain the highest level of excellence with accreditation by AACSB International in both business and accounting, a recognition held by fewer than five percent of business schools worldwide. We are dedicated to providing traditional, online and experiential learning through degree and certificate programs, internships, mentoring, international opportunities, interactions with executives, and more.
Richards College faculty are recognized as among leading teachers and researchers in the country. Faculty have won numerous awards for teaching innovations and have been invited to present their research at national and international venues. Faculty and staff engage in ongoing professional development to ensure our ability to help students develop strategies for succeeding in the business world today and produce solutions to tomorrow’s challenges.
Our students represent diverse cultural, social, and economic groups, and, consistent with the university-wide vision, the faculty and staff of the Richards College of Business are committed to providing them with educational excellence in a personal environment. This commitment to academic excellence and the close interaction with faculty and staff provide students with a high quality business education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Through the programs and initiatives at all levels, we are dedicated to preparing leaders who are able to make sound business decisions, participate actively in global economies, respond to technological changes, communicate effectively, and affirm a core array of values and ethical practices.
On behalf of the faculty and staff, I welcome you to the Richards College of Business.
